We are a long established, curtain and blind manufacturing company based in Wimbledon SW17. You would need a dedicated cutting table and sewing machine/s. We would provide you with what work you can handle per week and depending on your circumstances, we could drop off / collect on a weekly basis. This would be curtains, Roman blinds, cushions, bed covers etc.
We are very exacting in the quality of the work we provide and you would be expected to make a pair of curtains and roman blinds to demonstrate the quality of your handiwork (all our blinds and curtains are hand finished). We would provide the fabrics required for these samples and we would probably want you to attend our factory to discuss your work with our chief curtain maker.
Curtain work we pay per width. This will also depend on the type of curtain being made.
For sheers and unlined curtains, dropped off/collected, we pay from £15.00 per width.
For lined curtains, sateen or blackout lining, dropped off/collected, we pay from £20.00 per width
For lined and interlined curtains, dropped off/collected, we pay from £25.00 per width
For Roman blind work we have a price list and we will do this by negotiation before we give you any work. Same goes for cushions and bed/furnishing covers.
We pay on a rolling monthly basis. When we collect your work it must be invoiced accompanied. We will pay your first weeks work in the 5th week, your second weeks work in the 6th week, your 3rd weeks work in the 7th and it rolls on like so. You won’t have to wait for your money working with us.
You do not, necessarily, need to speak any or good English. Ideally, someone in your family must have good English so as to translate effectively what we want. Once complete, we can collect or someone within your family could collect / drop off to us if they have suitable transport.
